Mobile Project Manager
I like to see the whole picture.
From inception to development and execution of a plan,
I am proficient in all aspects of project management.
I understand time and resource management as well as strategic planning for both long and short term projects. I enjoy coming up with unique ideas, events and projects to create buzz and get people involved.
One time, I organized a successful attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the "Largest Skateboard Parade." It was kind of awesome.
These days I manage the planning, design, development and launches of mobile applications.
“Jeremy Johnson was chosen as one of the Elite Six Student Communication Team members for the academic year of 2010-11 to work in the Northern Michigan University Communications and Marketing Office. He did an outstanding job as a student intern.
One of the reasons he was picked for this very selective internship was because he came into the program with a pretty wide base of different kinds of media / PR experiences -- some radio DJing; work in a television studio, both on and off camera; some event management and some writing. During his internship year, he has truly demonstrated his creativity, willingnes to learn and ability to excel at most types of PR-related duties.
I found him to be exceptionally good at event management, historical research, creative PR campaign planning and development, as well as use of technology. I was very pleased with his level of skill regarding photography, videography, social media communication tools and websites. The one area of weakness where I saw the most amount of improvement was in his journalistic writing (in particular his familiarity of Associated Press style).
In the year Jeremy has worked in our office, we've given him some plumb assignments, such as interviewing a high-level official from the U.S. Department of Education, working on the White House advance team during President Obama's visit to campus and doing an impromptu interview with one of NMU's most prominent sports alumni, former NFL coach and current TV sports broadcaster Steve Mariucci.
What I value most about Jeremy as one of my team members is his creativity, initiative, flexibility and well-roundedness. He has a tremendous amount of energy and desire to be involved, which is something every employer looks for in their employees.
