Alembic Stills

Traditional Alembic Still
This old tradition alembic still owe its origins to the old Arab traditions and to the great ancient alchemist masters, who in their intense search of the "Filosofal Stone", have created this ancient distillation appliance. Later this still was used also in the Iberian Peninsula and rest of Europe, which has been coming to happen even to our days. Besides using copper of the first quality and strong thickness, the sizes above 3 liters capacity are produced with soldered and riveted joints, to avoid in this way the steams escape. We use high purity tin solder in the alembic still unions, allowing in this way a construction free of lead. This still can be used for alcoholic drinks, essential oils and flower waters.
Column Alembic Still
This rotating column alembic still is ideal to carry out a steam distillation, and undoubtedly it is the most recommended still model to distill essential oils and flower essences. In this alembic still model the substances to distill are placed in the column and not in the pot still, like in the traditional alembic models. In this way the substances will not be in contact with water in the pot. Eventually, if the distiller be not satisfied with the distillation result, this model allows a new distillation of rectification, and for that it will only be needed to remove the column and put the helmet directly into the pot still (as it shows our photo). Our stills are manufactured with high quality copper and strong thickness. We use high purity tin and silver solder in the alembic still joints, avoiding in this way a construction free of lead. This still can be used for alcoholic drinks, essential oils and flower waters.
Alembic Still "Water Sealing System"
This copper alembic still model uses a unique system of sealing the vapors through water circulation. At the top of the alembic pot there are two separated walls in order to place water circulating between them. This water circulating during the distillations will avoid the steams escape and in this way will also avoid the use of other sealing techniques. The unions of this alembic still are soldered to allow in this way a perfect impermeability. This still can be used in the distillation of alcoholic beverages, for essential oils and floral waters.
