My journey as a graphic designer started, most probably, when I grabbed a pencil for the first time. Since I was a little kid, I was always drawing, coloring, creating new ways to customize my stuffs, my notebooks from school, and even the look of my handwriting. Later on, I found out that I could study that and make my passion become my career, then I would do it for a living.
In 2003 I graduated from High School, and the next year I started my Graphic Design education in college, where I got in 5th place at the admission test. In less than a year, I was already getting my first internship at a Graphic Design agency. Even Before I graduate from college, I was also invited to join an advertising agency, where I worked for 7 months creating ads, illustrations, inside pages and covers of magazines and newspapers, brands and advertising campaigns. In November 2006 I was hired by one of the most renowned companies of communication in Pernambuco (Brazil) to work on broadcast TV, then I finally had the opportunity to see my creations have movements on screen. I made TV commercials, opening titles for TV shows, animation, graphics and visual effects for the News, Weather, video editions and music videos.
After graduating college in 2007, I decided to take the next step on my career and study Art Direction. Moved to Miami the same year and in 2010 I was admitted at the Miami Ad School in Miami Beach-FL, experiencing more closely the world of advertising, improving my portfolio and interacting with different cultures and exploring the field of social media.
Even though I believe I had a successful start, my journey is far from being over. Every day is a new chance to learn more and get better, and thats my goal. I want to focus my career in making things beautiful and entertaining, expressing myself and my clients in a creative and attractive way. I want people to WANT to see what I have to show, not only absorb it. I believe image and sound are the perfect match for communication and everything can be visually appealing, fun and effective at the same time.
I want to enhance the viewer's experience, make a difference and stand out.
